Bat Walk: International Bat Night
Linford Lakes Nature Reserve
Saturday 26 AugustWe're celebrating International Bat Night on Saturday 26th August. As an indicator species, bats are a sign of a green and healthy environment so it is important for us all to understand more about them. Join this guided walk at Linford Lakes Nature Reserve to find out how to spot these creatures in the parks and how we can help them.
Pre-booking is essential and all children must be accompanied by a paying adult. The walk will set off at 8pm so please meet just before in the carpark at The Holt Education Centre.
Linford Lakes Nature Reserve is usually only open to permit-holders. This walk will give you special access to this special site with our ranger as we search for bats in flight using our special bat detectors. Please be aware there will be very little to no lighting on the route and some routes will be a mixture of hard and soft paths. If you have concerns about access and mobility on this walk, please get in touch to discuss before booking. There is also a hearing loop system avaialble upon request.
