Discovery Stroll: Floodplain Forest

Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve

Tuesday 21 May

Join us on a short, guided walk of the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve on Tuesday 21st May from 2pm as part of our Discovery Strolls Programme. Our guide will show you some of the interesting features of this park, including some of its wildlife.

Discovery Strolls are designed to give you an introduction to the park and the confidence to explore the local area, interesting points on the route and to find out what facilities are available on site. A member of The Parks Trust team will lead the walk and answer any questions you may have. The walk is at a gentle pace and will allow time for informal chat and any questions you might have.

The car park off Old Wolverton Road is the closest car park and drop-off point.

Please aim to arrive shortly before the scheduled time as we will set off at 2pm.

The event duration is approximately 1 hour-1.5 hours. We will stick to hard surfaced level paths throughout.

The area does use leisure routes on gravel paths, and some may be slightly uneven, so please come with sturdy footwear and dressed appropriately for the weather. There are some minor slopes and gates to pass through which we will complete as a group.

Please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support or to request a hearing loop.

All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs unfortunately are unable to join these walks with the exception of assistance dogs.

No booking is required for this event. We hope to see you there!

If you require a more accessible event please look for our series of accessible walks, and if you would like a more in-depth Walk and Talk please look at those events for an expert guided walk around our parks with more interesting details about heritage and wildlife.
