Walking Festival: Accessible Guided Walk: Lodge Lake

Lodge Lake

Sunday 12 May
11am to 12pm
Free
Adults only

Join our friendly staff on this exploratory guided walk of Lodge Lake in Milton Keynes on Saturday 18th May at 11am. With the route designed to be accessible for walking and wheeling, everyone is welcome to attend. We will meet at Lodge Lake Car Park on Bradwell Road and then walk around the scenic lakeside, learning about our city's wildlife and The Parks Trust.

The walk will last roughly 45 minutes and covers approximately 1 mile. There are some benches along the route for rest stops. We will use surfaced paths which can be bumpy in localised areas, but we will be avoiding large slopes. Please get in touch to tell us how we can support your accessibility requirements. A hearing loop is available on request.

Getting here: There is a free car park at Lodge Lake on Bradwell Road. It's almost opposite the National Badminton Centre. What3Words /// paints.began.blackmail.

Vision Impairments

Our team will be happy to help guide you through the walk. Please let them know how you prefer to be guided. The conversation will be descriptive to help you visualise features of the park, and we will identify hazards in advance. We are happy to meet you from a drop-off location if you let us know the time and place.

Hearing Impairments

A portable hearing loop system is available upon request from accessibility@theparkstrust.com. Our staff will also have use of a voice amplifier.

Wheelchair Users

The routes have been selected to be more wheelchair-accessible, however they may still be some hazards along the route. We will avoid muddy paths and steep slopes.

Neurodiversity

We hope that the walk will be a calm and peaceful experience. We will make use of different senses to enjoy the natural environment.
