Join us for fun afternoon filled with activities to celebrate the natural world on Saturday 6th July 12pm - 4pm at Howe Park Wood, what3word ///pound.trespass.munched.

Discover diverse range of local wildlife organisations that are driving positive change in the local natural environment to help you connect with nature and learn how to take care of wildlife at home. Take part in many different crafts and activities, learn about bees, moths and many other fascinating creatures.

Find out more about the ancient woodland with one of our Biodiversity team members as they take you on guide walks. BSL interpreter available for both walks.

Grab yourself a drink or snack from our onsite café and sit back to enjoy storytelling and live music. Get your face painted and practise mindfulness in the nature with a Yoga instructor. 

This event suitable for all ages. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Timed activities on the day
  • 45 minutes Guided nature walk with Biodiversity + BSL interpretation 12:20pm | 2:45pm
  • Storytelling 12:30pm | 1:20pm | 2pm | 3pm
  • Pantasy Steel Band Live music 12:45pm-1:30pm | 2:15pm-3pm
  • Starshine Yoga session 1:30pm-2pm | 2:45pm-3:15pm
Important information

Please use the car park at the Westcroft District Centre and follow the Redway to Howe Park Wood. For Blue badge, holders parking available at Howe Park Wood Education Centre car park.

Facilities: Toilets, changing facilities available at the Education Centre. Food & drinks available at the Grounds Café.

Accessibility: BSL interpretation available for both nature guided walks. 

Please note this event is mainly on grass and some ground is uneven. Please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support.
