Love Nature Day
Howe Park WoodSaturday 01 July
Join The Parks Trust and some local nature groups for an afternoon of fun as we celebrate the natural world on Saturday 1st July from 11am to 4pm at Howe Park Wood.
There will be lots of activities that will bring you up close to nature and a chance to find out more about how you can help wildlife at home. You will get the chance to meet local volunteers passionate about moths, swifts and bats. Enjoy bug hunting and pond dipping with our Outdoor Learning Team and guided walks with our rangers.
This event is hosted at the ancient woodland of Howe Park Wood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), which has more than 200 plant species and is home to 30 different species of butterfly, and a variety of birds.
This is a free event and no booking is required. Parking is available at Westcroft local centre and access the Education centre via the redway.
