Milton Keynes' annual Walking Festival is back from Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th May with more variety than ever before. This year's four-day programme is packed with so many exciting ways you can discover Milton Keynes' parks and green spaces. 

Take part in the festival to explore somewhere new, get closer to nature or learn about local heritage. There's more than just walking this year, with exciting group runs and cycle rides in the mix to help get everyone moving in the great outdoors.

You can make a difference at our litter picking event at Howe Park Wood, make new friends at the Women's Walking Group, walk and glide with Electra or try something new like barefoot running or forest bathing.

  • Campbell Park

    Campbell Park resides in the heart of Milton Keynes and connects the city centre to the wider landscape and the expansive linear park network. Visitors can discover natural and man-made topography as well as public art, water features, the Grand Union Canal, a first-class cricket pitch, open-air auditorium along with planting designed to encourage biodiversity.

    Willen Lake is Milton Keynes’ most popular park. Visitors take part in watersports activities, go cycling, enjoy the playground, try the high ropes course or simply picnic along Willen’s shores.

    Discover Linford Wood, a 700-year-old ancient woodland that is the largest and oldest in Milton Keynes. This area is home to diverse wildlife, fun wood carvings, and an ever-changing environment.

    Howe Park Wood is one of Milton Keynes' ancient woodlands which boasts a wide variety of wildlife and fantastic on-site facilities, including toilets, a café, a small play area, and many opportunities to learn.
