Free
Family friendly
Come to Howe Park Wood during the Summer Holiday for one of our exciting Open Mornings.

Learn all about Conservation and Biodiversity by taking part in nature-themed challenges and self-guided trails. Try to build a food chain, work out what wildlife is most threatened in the UK and find out what you can do to help. Our friendly volunteers and Outdoor Learning Team will be on hand to help. We may also have a visit from a bee keeper on one of the mornings.

Howe Park Wood provides a home to many animal and plant species. This very special park has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its wildlife value by Natural England.

The Parks Trust manages an Education Centre inside Howe Park Wood that is only open to the public on selected dates throughout the year.

Open Mornings are completely free for everyone and no booking is required to attend. Simply drop-in anytime between 9:30am-12:30pm on Tuesdays - Thursdays throughout the school holidays.

From 30th July to 1st August, we're also running nature craft sessions which are available to book for £1.50 per child.

There is free parking available on site, public toilets and Grounds Cafe for refreshments. There are both hard surface footpaths suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and grass and woodchip paths deeper into the wood.
