Without a Trace

Students learn survival skills through this bushcraft-themed session with an environmental message. This session develops an understanding of how human and physical processes interact and our responsibility to recognise that the Earth is a source of limited resources.

Students get to try their hand at a range of different survival activities such as fire lighting, shelter building and making natural water filters. Each activity has a focus on how to survive in the natural environment without leaving a footprint. Students will learn about our ancient and protected woodlands, why the Parks Trust cut down some trees but not others and how natural materials are an important but finite resource.
