Learn everything you ever wanted to know about hibernating animals in this exclusive seasonal session.

Summary

Have you ever wondered what happens to our wildlife in the winter? 

Join our outdoor learning team on a hibernation adventure in your local parkland. We will learn how and why animals hibernate, and what happens to those who don’t.

This session is only available from the last week in November to February half term. 

A snowy woodland ride. There trees create a tunnel along the pathway, which is covered in snow. There is also snow on the bare branches and tree trunks.

This interactive session is based around the 3 main principles of the Countryside Code: Respect, protect and enjoy.

Marvellous Minibeasts and Habitats

Zoom in on micro-habitats and learn what life needs to flourish in these miniature ecosystems.

Pond Dipping and Adaptations

Take a close look at the wildlife that lives in our waterbodies and find out about how animals have adapted to this environment.
