Geology Rocks
Take a journey with us through millions of years to discover the fascinating world of rock formation, and learn more about ancient creatures that once called Milton Keynes their home.
Summary
What creatures roamed Milton Keynes in the Jurassic era? Your group will take a journey through time to discover the prehistoric story of our new city.
Get up close and personal with some ancient remains discovered right here in MK, and unique rock specimens from across the UK in this geological exploratory session. We will also look at how rocks and landscapes are formed, and how to identify rocks we can find at our feet.
*Please note that this session is best suited to sites with the best natural resources. These include Great Linford Manor Park, Stonepit Field, Caldecotte Lake & Willen North. We are happy to adapt this session to other sites if required but some activities may be altered.
