Walk Leaders- Women's Walking Network

The Women's Walking Network meets on the first Thursday of every month. Walks are usually between 3-5 miles long, starting from one of our parks and is at a fairly brisk pace. The sessions are lead by our Volunteer Walk Leaders and can have up to 45 walkers attending.
We are in need of some more walk leaders to help keep this group going. So if you are a keen walker and would like to get involved please get in touch. We will provide walk leader training and you will have the chance to shadow some of the other volunteers before you lead any walks yourself.
Walk leaders are mostly responsible for checking the routes ahead of the session, signing walkers in, providing a safety briefing at the start of the walk and helping to lead the group along the route safely on the day.
You will always be supported by a minimum of 1 other volunteer on the walks and will only be asked to attend walks you are available for, with a minimum of leading 1 walk per year.
