Use of Drones
As the charity that cares for the parks, woodlands and lakes of Milton Keynes, we’re responsible for over 6,000 acres of local green space. We want to ensure that local people, visitors and wildlife can all make the most of the beautiful landscape that surrounds us.
With that in mind, we do not permit drones to take off and land on property under our management.
There may be occasions when we will grant permission for drone filming by insured and licensed professionals who fulfil strict criteria. This permission will be based on a full assessment which considers the purpose of the drone flight, the proposed usage, impact on the enjoyment and privacy of park users, impact on sensitive livestock and wildlife etc.

Filming and Photography
With over 6,000 acres of beautiful and diverse landscapes across the city, there are ample locations for filming or photography in The Parks Trust’s parkland and we welcome requests from organisations and groups to use it for this purpose.
Professional photography or filming is not permitted in our park locations without prior agreement of The Parks Trust. A fee may apply. If you would like to request permission, please contact info@theparkstrust.com.
Commercial Photographers
If you would like to apply to host regular portrait photoshoots in our parks as part of your commercial photography business, please contact the events team for a licence application form. We offer an annual commercial photography licence at £130+VAT. For enquiries please email events@theparkstrust.com
Licenced Event Filming and Photography
Please note, if you have been granted a licence to host an event in one of our parks and wish to operate a drone during the event, you will still need to apply for a licence to do so. Submit your request via info@theparkstrust.com for further details.
