About Teardrop Lakes

Discover the charming atmosphere of Teardrop Lakes, an area of parkland that plays a crucial part in Milton Keynes' flood prevention strategy and offers a scenic adventure along bodies of water. With diverse habitats, including lush reedbeds, these lakes provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying the wonders of wildlife.

Embark on a delightful 2km circuit around the first three lakes, starting from the car park. From there, follow the leisure routes and Redways for an ideal lunchtime stroll. If you have more time to spare, head under the road bridge into Loughton and trace the brook along North Loughton Valley Park. Take a steep ascent to the viewpoint on the Knowlhill side of the lakes for a beautiful perspective of the city's skyline.

Explore further and make a day out of your visit to Teardrop Lakes by exploring the surrounding areas in Loughton Valley Park. Utilize the leisure routes to the south for a scenic journey that includes passing by the National Bowl and reaching Furzton Lake. Follow the stream into Tattenhoe Valley Park for added exploration.
