About Broughton Brook
This linear park follows the Broughton Brook from Magna Park to Atterbury, and is home to several points of interest, including the 14th century St. Lawrence Church, which has wall paintings which were hidden until an 1849 restoration. Covering large parts of the church’s north and south walls the murals include a depiction of St. George slaying the dragon.
Popular children's play areas can be found at Southwold Crescent and Prehistoric Park and there is an enclosed skate park.
Atterbury Park
At the north end Broughton Brook Park, you'll find Atterbury Park which has areas of ponds and wet woodland set aside for wildlife. Timber boardwalks are provided to allow visitors close access to the wetland habitats.
Magna Park
At the south end, the brook opens into a lake at Magna Park, where you can spot wildlife including hares, deer and foxes. In this park private fishing licensed by MK Angling Association is permitted onsite for bailiffs only.

Prehistoric Park Play Area
The Prehistoric Park, located on Watercress Way has a large dinosaur climbing frame with slide and wobble bridge and is great for imaginative play.
The play area also features a springer seesaw which rocks and rotates, a roundabout and a bay of swings with toddler seats.
The site is well suited to children of primary school age and it's great facility for children in the local area.

Haverthwaite A Play Area
Located next to the skate park off Haverthwaite View this modern style play area is a great option for teenagers.
The play area offers a few pieces of equipment which are more physically challenging such as the aero skate and the rodeo board, as well as a large solid basket swing which is great for children with mobility limitations.
A visit to this play area is great to team up with a walk through the Linear Park.

Located next to the skate park off Haverthwaite View, this modern style play area is great for younger children.

Cranmore Circle Play Area
This play area is located at Cranmore Circle and is a great local play area designed mainly for younger children.
There is a play house, a seesaw, a small climbing tower with a slide and swing as well as a miniature space net which is suitable for slightly older kids. It’s a great addition for the houses in the local area and is situated right next to the allotments.

Skate Park
The skate park at Broughton is open between the hours of 10am – 7pm.
