Wetland Wander for World Wetlands Day
Learn about the wildlife of wetlands at Floodplain Forest.
World Wetlands Day is a great excuse to celebrate wetlands and draw attention to just how important they are. Come along to this guided walk to learn about the species that make Floodplain Forest a unique place and discover why wetlands are so important to maintaining a healthy ecosystem and the positive impact they have on our environment. You will also have an opportunity to take part in bird spotting.
This walk will be at a moderate pace, mainly on footpaths. There is a slope down to the nature reserve from the car park. There are no toilets available on site.
Please note that the session will be outside for the duration so please dress appropriately for the weather. As this is a floodplain, if there has been significant rainfall prior to the session, we may have to cancel/postpone the session. We will send an email in this instance and put an alert on the website.
