Walking Festival: Linford Wood & Homeworld
Join us for a leisurely walk in two contrasting parts.
This walk starts at the 700-year-old ancient woodland, Linford Wood. Enjoy nature as we follow an ancient hedge and look out for wood carved sculptures, plants and wildlife.
From there, we will head over to explore the 1981 Homeworld Exhibition - a series of novel house designs created by architects from around the world. These houses are now private dwellings, but can be viewed from the public footpath without upsetting the current owners.
The 5.7km walk starts at Linford Wood car park and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. This walk is on mostly paved footpaths and redways, but partly unpaved bridleways in the wood. The route is step-free, but can be very muddy in wet weather. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather.
This event is part of our 2025 Walking Festival programme which features walks across the city over 5 days. If you have any questions about this event, please get in touch on events@theparkstrust.com.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Tickets go on sale Wednesday 2 April at 9am.
