Walking Festival: Bat Walk
Learn about native bats and how to hear and see them as part of the Walking Festival 2025.
Join us for an exciting at Walk as part of the 2025 Walking Festival! Our knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the bats of Milton Keynes and teach you the differences between Common and Soprano Pipistrelles. With any luck, you'll catch sight of them flying overhead!
Shenley Wood, one of the three ancient woodlands we care for, is the perfect spot for a fun and fascinating evening with bats.

This event is timed to begin just before sunset. Please check the start time and arrive early for a quick briefing and to learn how to use the bat detectors.
Due to the popularity of these events, pre-booking is essential. Each attendee requires a ticket, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults tickets are £5, and child tickets (u16) are £1
Please dress warmly, as it can get cooler after sunset.

Be aware that the route may have minimal to no lighting, with a mix of hard and soft paths. If you have any accessibility concerns, please reach out to us before booking so we can discuss options.
