Walk & Talk: Wellbeing Wander in Winter
Join the Outdoor Learning Team on a calming walk where you will use your senses to get in touch with nature.
Get in touch with the natural world during this relaxing walk through the woodland in winter. Our wellbeing wander offers an opportunity to slow down from our busy lives and reconnect with the natural world that surrounds us. We will be following forest bathing techniques developed in Japan in 1980’s that have been found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve memory and concentration. Some findings even show it can help us stay healthy - nature is a powerful healer!
Booking is essential to secure your place and experience this immersive afternoon on Friday 28th February at Shenley Wood. Please note this is an adults only session (18+).
This event is part of our outdoor learning programme which is designed to help people learn more about Milton Keynes parks and the natural environment.
Shenley Wood is a mixture of hard paths and muddy trails with tree roots. We will be venturing off the main paths during this session. There are no toilets or refreshments available at this site but there are several cafes nearby at Westcroft Disctrict Centre. Please get in touch on outdoorlearning@theparkstrust.com if you require any accessibility support or to request a hearing loop.
