International Bat Night: Bat Walk
Celebrate International Bat Night with our Biodiversity Team at Linford Lakes.
Celebrate International Bat Night with us on a special Bat Walk at Linford Lakes Nature Reserve. Join us to learn more about these amazing creatures. This extra special bat walk is led by our in-house bat expert from the biodiversity team. So, if you want to take your bat knowledge to the next level this is the event for you.
Due to the additional information we feel that this session is only suitable for adults to attend.
Event details:
• Date & time: Saturday 23rd August at 7:45pm
• Meeting spot: Linford Lakes Nature Reserve, Wolverton Road
• What3Words Location: forensic.loving.boldest
The event will start just before sunset. Please check the start time and arrive early for a quick briefing, where you'll also learn how to use the bat detectors.
Important Access information:
The parking location is through a couple of gates so please allow a few additional minutes to arrive. Volunteers will be onsite to assist you.
Due to high demand, pre-booking is essential. Each attendee requires a ticket and children are not able to attend this particular Bat Walk. Adults tickets are £5, and child tickets (u16) are £1, if you have an older teenager that is especially keen on bats then this session may still be suitable.
Dress warmly, as it tends to get cooler after sunset.
Accessibility:
Please note that the route may have little to no lighting and includes both hard and soft paths. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact us before booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
A portable hearing loop is available on request—just email events@theparkstrust.com.
Only assistance dogs are permitted on this walk.
We look forward to celebrating International Bat Night with you for an evening of bat spotting!
