Visit Howe Park Wood during the Easter Holidays for our Open Mornings and gain access to the Education Centre. The centre is free to visit and is family-friendly for all ages, drop-in anytime between 9:30am-12:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4th April and 13th April.

We will be celebrating water and wetland creatures this holiday! There will be pond minibeasts to investigate under a microscope in the education centre, information on bird feeding in the parks, a self-guided trail and more. We will have artefacts on display such as nests, skulls and feathers, found across our different parks!

Pond dipping sessions are also available to book for £5 per family for a 30 minute slot with a member of our Outdoor Learning Team on hand to help you identify any creatures you find.

Howe Park Wood is one of the city’s jewels, a tranquil oasis, humming with wildlife and colour. As well as being home to a wide variety of wildlife, Howe Park Wood boasts more than 200 plant species, some so rare that English Nature has designated it a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its wildlife value.

There is free parking available on site, public toilets and Grounds Cafe for refreshments.
