
Community Volunteering: Lime Tree Love
Join us for a spring spruce up at Newlands Remembrance Walk.
As the days grow longer and spring breathes new life into the landscape, we’re inviting you to roll up your sleeves and help care for the avenue of “Winter Orange” Lime Trees along the Newlands Remembrance Walk.
Join this community volunteering day on Saturday 12th April to help with weeding, edging, and essential tree aftercare to keep the walk looking its best for everyone to enjoy.
Meeting location is at Newlands Remembrance Walk, What3Words location blog.distanced.retrain. Look out for the large purple Parks Trust flag.
Car parking is available at Campbell Park canalside car park, What3Words location overpaid.overlooks.reassured which is a 5 min walk along the canal to the meeting location. Alternative parking is available at The Tree Cathedral, parking charges apply.
What do you need to bring?
- Gardening gloves (if you prefer to wear your own)
- Suitable clothing including sturdy boots or shoes
- Drink and a snack
No experience needed. We welcome participants of all ages on this activity but young people attending must be supervised at all times.
You don't have to stay for the full session - so please come along for as long as you'd like.
