If you want to give volunteering a go grab your tools and your imagination! Join us for a hands-on morning of building bug hotels and creating a hibernacula – because even the smallest creatures deserve five-star accommodation all year round.

Taking place at the amazing Stony Stratford Nature Reserve our staff and volunteers will show you how to make a habitat for the local wildlife.

Where and When?

Saturday March 8th from 10am to 12:30pm

Meeting Point - elders.though.yappy

Parking Location - match.caressed.alienated

Bug hotels and hibernacula are lifesaver refuges for our wonderful wildlife! From insects to amphibians, these cozy habitats provide shelter during colder months and help boost biodiversity in the area. By creating these wildlife havens in Spring, you’re giving nature a helping hand – and having fun while you’re at it!

What do I need to bring?

  • Gardening Gloves if you'd prefer to wear your own
  • Suitable clothes and footwear
  • Drink and a Snack
  • Portable Electric Drill - if you have one

Come and learn some practical conservation skills and discover how to attract wildlife to your own garden.

We welcome participants of all ages on this activity but young people attending must be supervised at all times.

You don't have to stay for the full session - so please come along for as long as you'd like.
