Make a blooming big difference by helping remove weeds at Stanton Low park.
Do you love the great outdoors, green fingers or simply enjoy being hands on with plants (or at least enthusiasm for pulling pesky plants)? Join us at our Community Volunteering Task on Saturday 3rd May at 10:00 AM in Stanton Low Park.
Alliums are the superstars of the plant world – with their striking globes of purple, pink, and white, they bring joy to pollinators and people alike. During this task we will be removing weeds to help these beautiful flowers thrive.
Meeting location is near the play area in Stanton Low Park, What3Words location enhancement.thousands.flock. Look out for the large purple Parks Trust flag.
Car parking is available in the car park off Newport Road, What3Words location lamppost.corded.rots which is a 5 min walk through the park to the meeting location. Parking is also available on nearby roads, please park your car considerately. We would recommend walking to the event where possible.
What do you need to bring?
- Gardening gloves (if you prefer to wear your own)
- Suitable clothing including sturdy boots or shoes
- A hat, water and sunscreen (because conservation doesn’t stop for the sun)
- Drink and a snack
We welcome participants of all ages on this activity but young people attending must be supervised at all times.
You don't have to stay for the full session - so please come along for as long as you'd like.
