Blossom Watch!

Over the next weeks and months trees at the arboretum at Great Linford Manor Park will be blossoming. There are a wide variety of native and exotic trees in the park and as they blossom, we’ll be putting out fact cards so you can find out about each tree of interest.

The arboretum is located at the west end of the park, just off Marsh Drive. Due to works taking place in the Memorial Hall car park, it’s best to park at MK Arts Centre, off Parklands (St. Leger Drive), MK14 5DZ or you can walk or cycle.

You can enjoy the blossoms by wandering around freely, or you could use our new map of the area showing which trees look best at what time of the year. To help you navigate using the map, it's best to start by locating one of the Deodar Cedars, which are blue-green all year round. You can find one at What3Words reference: ///florists.contoured.portfolio. Trees that look good in spring and summer are coloured in pink on the map.

In the next few months we’ll also be adding a permanent name label to each tree for easy identification, and new paths through the Wilderness will make the area easier to access. Find out more about the work we are doing as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund restoration project here

We’d love to see your photos of the blossoms and blooms in our parks. You can tag us on social media @TheParksTrust using the hashtag #MKBlossomWatch.
