Come and join The Parks Trust volunteers at our monthly Women's Walking Network walks. It's a fantastic way to take a brisk long walk and discover the hidden gems of Milton Keynes whilst encouraging women to walk together, keep fit and make new friends!
The walks occur on the first Thursday of every month and cover distances of up to 4-5 miles, in under 2 hours at a brisk pace.
Hike MK is a walking group for younger adults in the Milton Keynes & North Buckinghamshire area. Group walks are organised on a regular basis, varying between 4 and 12 miles on average, as well as social events and trips away.
Their group is aimed at adults in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. Walks are usually more like social events than expeditions. Hike MK are keen for new members to give them a try.
The Milton Keynes Ramblers are a group of people who enjoy walking in the green spaces of Milton Keynes and the surrounding countryside. Walks typically take place at weekends, and can take in surrounding counties of Beds and Northants.
Everyone is welcome to attend their walks, whatever age or level of fitness. Non-Ramblers Association members are welcome to attend a few times before joining the Ramblers Association.
U3A have two different Walking Groups in Milton Keynes. Redway Walkers on a Tuesday and Ramblers on a Wednesday.
Both groups walk around 5 miles each week in a 2-hr session.
U3A is a friendly association offering a range of interest groups for those who are no longer in full time employment and have time to spare to explore new interests. To become a member you do not need to be retired.
Redway Runners are a large running club in Milton Keynes that alongside running options also offer a variety of Redway Rambles.
Operating Monthly on Mondays and Thursdays there are different lengths and a post-walk social coffee. There is also a longer monthly ramble.
Monday afternoon is usually 4-5 miles over 90 minutes, Thursday afternoon is a shorter options with 2-3 miles. The longer options is on a Thursday morning and is normally around 9 miles.
MK Health Walks enable you to make new friends, improve your health, stay active, and have fun for free! These volunteer-led activities offer an excellent opportunity to explore Milton Keynes' green spaces. Some groups offer multiple routes each week catering for different paces and distances.
