MK Health Walks
MK Health Walks are daily, free walks, and an excellent opportunity to explore Milton Keynes' green spaces. Come along and make friends and improve your health!
What are MK Health Walks?
MK Health Walks enable you to make new friends, improve your health, stay active, and have fun for free! These volunteer-led activities offer an excellent opportunity to explore Milton Keynes' green spaces.
Some groups offer multiple routes each week catering for different paces and distances. Please see the description below to find the one that is right for you.
Many walks finish with an arranged refreshment stop so stick around once the walk is finished to socialise and carry on the conversation.

What pace should I try?
We have split our walks into paces of Very Gentle, Gentle, Moderate and Brisk, and would encourage you to talk to the Walk Leader to check which one is right for you. You could also think about them as Very Short, Short, Medium and Long. A very short walk will start from half a mile, up to a Long walk of approx. 4 miles, with most walks lasting from 30 - 90 minutes.
What else do I need to know?
- You should be capable of completing the walk, wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions and adhere to the Walk Leaders briefing at all times.
- Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
- Dogs should not attend these events - unless they are an assistance dog. If so they must be on a short lead and take part towards the rear of the group
- No booking is required - just turn up and join in for Free
- Walks marked as Currently Full aren't able to take new participants at the moment - please try one of the other walks, or check back soon
- All locations are marked using What 3 Words, an App and Website that enables you to find specific locations in places where postcodes do not work.
