Walking Festival: Canterbury Tales
Enjoy a storytelling stroll at the Tree Cathedral.
Enjoy an immersive story telling event with the MK's very own storytelling Red Phoenix as part of MK Walking Festival 2026.
After a fantastic first outing for this event last year we are bringing it back for 2026!! In, The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer recounts a storytelling competition, which is filled with sex, drinking and retribution, by a set of fictious characters on a pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral.
At this evening event, people will make their own mini-pilgrimage around the Tree Cathedral in Milton Keynes stopping around the site to hear the stories, including:
- The Wife of Bath’s tale about a salacious Knight of Arthur’s round table,
- The Pardoners’s tale of foolish fellows trying to outwit death, and of course
- The Miller's Tale a crude but hilarious tale of adultery, backsides and comeuppance.
Please note that due to some of the subject matter and language used all attendees should be aged 16+.
Any Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
